Advantages of working with Systems and Renewable Energy Consultants, LLC

Understanding each individual piece of the solar economic puzzle is tricky endeavor for the inexperienced. SREC will seek out the most advantageous funding options for projects: construction loans, leasing, community partnerships, and renewable energy grant programs will all be investigated thoroughly by our team. We have the financial know-how to ensure a finished project will get properly funded and be optimally maintained over it useful life. The solar choices abound and we understand which of these will make the most sense given your goals, site, and budget. Although applying solar energy strategies is not rocket science, the amount of variables involved is extensive and each are interrelated enough that missing a small piece of information can be very costly to a project.

SREC Provides Flexible Financing Options For Your Projects

We work with industry-leading developers to provide high-quality, reliable renewable energy power systems and energy efficiency projects. These specialists have the customer and supplier relationships, technical expertise and experience to successfully carry a project from start to finish. SREC will provide funding for projects where the customer prefers to purchase just the power a system generates rather than the system itself.

Developer roles in Power Purchase Agreements

  • Identify "qualified" customers
  • Perform site evaluation and initiate system approval process
  • Source and install equipment
  • Provide finished, fully operational system
  • Provide ongoing operations, maintenance, and third party monitoring services under contract

Extraordinary Investment Opportunities in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

SREC aggregates qualified, investment grade projects and matches them to equity funding. The projects are designed to provide low-risk and attractive returns using the following sources:

  • Federal Investment Tax Credit
  • Accelerated Asset Depreciation Schedule
  • State/Local Rebates or Tax Credits
  • Sale of Renewable Energy Credits
  • Utility Incentives--for capacity and peak shaving

SREC works with a vetted network of experienced developers to identify customers, sign power purchase agreements and complete the construction of solar electric generation systems. Whenever it is appropriate, we will finance renewable energy projects that can be integrated with energy efficiency measures in order to maximize economic and environmental benefits.

Under a PPA, we will finance, build, own, and operate renewable energy systems for customers. By eliminating the need for customers to pay up front capital costs, SREC sells the electricity the system generates and the corresponding Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) for the customer. These agreements specify the estimated output of the renewable energy system and yearly price per kWh. They require the customer to sign a contractual agreement to buy electricity over a period of 6-25 years.

PPAs versus Self-Financed Systems

The following conditions are necessary for a PPA:

  • Customer’s ability and willingness to sign a long-term contract
  • Investment grade credit rating
  • Sufficient financial incentives must be available in state of installation
  • Appropriate location available for system installation
  • Sufficient sun on prospective site

Systems and Renewable Energy Consultants provides:

  • Professional project management.
  • Partnerships with industry leading project developers, installers and equipment suppliers
    • This makes sure that projects are completed on time and with the highest quality products available.
  • Direct experience building, owning and operating solar energy facilities

We address risk:

Our current electrical distribution system is a major liability to our country. Distribution networks have not been adequately supported over the last 30 years and the result has been that "line losses" continue to mount--"blackouts" will grow in frequency and duration. As the national understanding of our energy "addiction" grows, the true value of on-site solar energy will eventually be acknowledged by utilities. Both large and small scale renewable generation, distributed throughout our country, will be a necessary part to any successful strategy to deal with our nation's energy predicament.

The time to take action is now...

The United States is dependent upon too many foreign sources for energy. Given the location of the majority of the natural gas (51% of world's supply is located in Iran and Russia) and oil supplies in our world, current events dictate that we need for all people to explore their alternative energy options. Creating distributed energy generation sources will be integral in solving the energy crisis that is currently influencing much of our nation's foreign policy. Natural gas is a principal fuel for electricity generation, especially in times of high demand. Nearly 60% of U.S. homes use natural gas for their heating and cooling needs, making the price of it especially sensitive to weather. As global warming's influence on our weather continues to grow, the recent records set for price volatility will be surpassed, and the clear long term upward trend will be solidified.
